God of War Ragnarok - Collapsed Wall

During my time at Santa Monica Studio, I worked exclusively on the Ragnarök finale sections. While a lot of my work came in the form of kitbashing the early Ragnarök sections, my main responsibility were the collapsed wall sections. I worked hand in hand with Art Direction and TImo Pihlajamaki to take this environment from blockmesh to final polish.

Shout out to my fellow environment artists Timo Pihlajamaki, https://www.artstation.com/timpih and Tyler Siemers https://www.artstation.com/tyler_siemers for help making these environments. Also shout out to lighting, design, and fx. So many talented people worked to bring Ragnarök to life!

The foreground and midground were my primary responsibility. Timo created the city backdrop and the epic wall.

This environment was kitbashed using Timo's versatile "Wall Kit". I focused primarily on composition and setting up the broken wall fragments in a believable and dramatic way.

Timo and I believed the crushed dragon was a great way to sell the scale and grandeur of the Ragnarok wall collapse.
